CNC Programming - MasterCAM and AutoCAD

About the Program
This comprehensive CNC certificate program with MasterCAM and AutoCAD has been designed to prepare the participant for many careers in industry and machine shop environments. Upon successful completion of these courses, participants will be able to understand and apply Computerized Numerical Control technology (CNC) from basic to advanced applications, they will understand the many applications of AutoCAD and how they can be used with CNC programming. Successful participants will be able to develop CNC programs for various CNC machines, such as drills, mills, machining centers and lathes, using verifiable manual and computerized methods of part program preparation. The focus of the program is on practical industrial applications, problem solving and professional approach.

% Interpret engineering drawings and their various features and effect on CNC programming, setup and machining.
% Create precise and fully detailed 2D technical drawings in AutoCAD.
% Understand the various materials used in production machining and the importance of selecting and using proper cutting tools and holders as well as their effect on CNC machining.
% Practice the mathematical concepts used in CNC program development.
% Employ NCPlot Editor to write and edit CNC programs.
% Use verifiable manual and computerized methods of part program preparation.
% Apply part programming methods, set-up development, tooling lists, part program manuscripts and input media.
% Develop and customize programs for CNC and MasterCAM applications.
% Create 3-axis programs from surfaces and solids in MasterCAM.
