CNC Machinist Technician

The CNC Machinist Technician program provides skills and knowledge in conventional machine operations on drill presses, lathes, milling machines and various grinding machines, extensive training in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming, setup and operation, introductory CAD/CAM training and introductory Inspection and Quality Control training.

The CNC Machinist Technician program provides students with instruction and practical experience in two areas of the machinist trade:
manual machining and
CNC (computer numerical control) machining

The program combines training with a work experience placement in a machine shop or manufacturing plant. Students who maintain a specified level of marks will be allowed to challenge the year 1 apprenticeship exam.
